  • SeeCare IPTV: Personalized Health Literacy Demonstrator

  • March 2013, SeeCare, together with the Institute for Broadband Enabled Society (IBES), Diabetes Australia (Vic), and Ericsson have launched “SeeCare IPTV” - a Personalized Health Literacy demonstrator. SeeCare IPTV delivers personalized health literacy content to patients and carers using familiar technology, the television, in a familiar setting, the home.   • SeeCare and PCEHR: First Conformant Consumer Portal

  • August 2012, SeeCare, in collaboration with the National E-Health Transition Authority (NEHTA), is integrating the SeeCare web-site with the Personally Controlled Electronic Health Record (PCEHR). The integrated SeeCare system will allow health consumers to access their health records: health summaries from GPs, test results, medications, specialist letters, and more. Subject to permissions, approved family members could also use SeeCare to access the records of someone they care for. Using SeeCare, health consumers can identify, access, and share information relevant to different aspects of their care. SeeCare is currently the first and only Consumer Portal developer to join the PCEHR project as an approved Vendor.

  • Telecare with SeeCare - Anytime and Anywhere

  • June 2012, SeeCare introduces a Telecare capability. Using Skype from SeeCare users can call a friend or a carer. Users can provide telecare in a video call with someone they support and care for. The Telecare capability is also available from mobile devices providing support and care anytime and anywhere.

  • SeeCare at IFA2012

  • May 2012, SeeCare presents at the International Federation on Ageing 11th Global Conference. SeeCare shares experiences in introducing a Consumer-Led Web-Based Care Management System into the cancer care setting. You can view the SeeCare IFA2012 presentation here.

  • Collaboration with The University of Melbourne

  • October 2011, SeeCare and The University of Melbourne have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) covering collaboration relating to e-Health research. The University of Melbourne, one of Australia's leading research institutes, has been conducting research into e-Health and the use of Broadband technology to facilitate health and wellbeing. SeeCare and The University of Melbourne have been collaborating for a number of years. This MoU will facilitate extensive sharing of ideas and information and the identification and establishment of joint research projects.

  • CanCare Project receives national award

  • On 31 March 2011, Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre's Professor Sanchia Aranda, on behalf of CanCare Project partners, received the National Broadband Health Award at a gala dinner in Sydney. The award was presented by Senator Stephen Conroy, Minister for Broadband, Communications and Digital Economy. First awarded by the Australian Telecommunications Users Group in 2007, the award recognises innovative, effective and exciting uses of broadband that improve society in all facets. Professor Aranda and SeeCare’s Dr Gil Tidhar represented the CanCare project team at the dinner. Congratulations to all members of the joint Peter Mac and SeeCare team.
